Weddings with Theatrical Flair in New York City Area

The beloved wedding song "Sunrise, Sunset" from FIDDLER ON THE ROOF gets new lyrics for same-sex couples' marriage ceremonies.

Ceremonies are events we create to honor the milestones in our lives: the union of two people, the birth of a new life, the transition of a beloved one. These events are deeply transformational and this special day will be etched on your memory forever. It would be my joy to create a ceremony for you that is both spiritual and spirited, reflecting my background as an ordained Interfaith minister and Broadway theater professional.

I think of myself as a celebrant and officiant more than a minister because the word "minister" brings with it specific religious connotations.

As a non-denominational and multicultural celebrant, I am comfortable working with people of all faiths and spiritual paths including atheists, agnostics, and those who feel spiritual but not necessarily religious. Ceremonies are about love and gratitude, and to that end I will work with you to create a ceremony that is as unique as you are.

Your personality, interests, family and professional background, spiritual practices, rituals and traditions (if any) are the fabrics from which we craft your service.

The only ceremony that requires specific language is marriage. By law I am required to say only 29 words to wed a couple. If you wish to honor specific faith traditions, we'll do that. If you want something non-traditional, know there are no limitations to where our imaginations can take us. I will walk you through all phases of the ceremony.

Weddings, Commitment Ceremonies, Vow Renewals, Baby Blessings, Funerals and End-of-Life Services

We can collaborate on any life milestone or transition: your marriage or a commitment ceremony, a vow renewal celebration, a house or apartment blessing, a baby blessing, a funeral of a loved one, an end-of-life celebration, the healing from an illness, a pet blessing, a career change, heralding a retirement.

I was ordained a minister by One Spirit Interfaith Seminary. I am honored to work with straight, gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender couples.

Please call or write to me to discuss your specific plans. (212) 307-1440 or .
